About this transfer
Instead of a straight drive, this transfer turns the journey between Aswan and Luxor into a sightseeing day. We pick you up from your hotel or cruise boat in the morning and follow the road north along the Nile.
The first stop is Kom Ombo, about an hour from Aswan: a double temple on a bend of the river, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris, with a small crocodile museum next door. About an hour further on is Edfu, the most complete temple in Egypt, where the great pylon, the courtyards and the dark sanctuary of Horus are still almost intact. You can spend around an hour at each site.
You arrive in Luxor in the late afternoon and are dropped at your hotel or boat. The trip also runs in the other direction, from Luxor to Aswan. Entrance tickets are paid at each temple; a guide can be added if you would like one.
